After an of sitting with some beautiful cacao and a group of friends; the space held by a most magnificent witch whom has studied these traditions in Peru, Pato could not quite fall asleep. Cacao was with him and as he took a break from woodworking, this love letter came to life…

With Cacao I sit, In Her grace I open, An unfolding of Self I know inside, In Her light I come out of hiding, "It is safe to play" she whispers into my darkest caverns, as she delivers life and love. I giggle... silly and strong. Full of fresh life as once exiled beasts frolic from their cave. Oh great Mama cacao! We thank you for our toothy grins and the vast depths of which you so gracefully penetrate. What balance of masculinity you bring to my open breast! Namaste my dear friend and ally <3

To the left is Pato with a fresh cacao pod in Costa Rica. There he co-ops with a group which grows cacao, as a small portion of a large agroforestry and reforestation effort. You can find the farm VerdEnergia and their brand Rewild Organics through these links as well as on our Spread the Light page.
